New Collector Talk

With Warwick Brown, Sonja Hawkins, and Charles Ninow

01 December to 01 December 2018

Planning and funding an art collection takes strategy and insight. Learn from the best with a public talk, followed by a Q & A, with three leading experts in the field.

Charles Ninow is a Director of the Bowerbank Ninow, an art gallery space and auction house on Karangahape Road. Ninow will speak from his perspective as a specialist with industry knowledge of the New Zealand art market.

Sonja Hawkins is a founding partner of interest-free art loans business, MyArt. MyArt has a unique approach that helps to make starting an art collection easy. Sonja is an avid collector herself and offers some tips on how to build a strong collection.

Warwick Brown is a renowned New Zealand art collector and curator.  He will discuss art buying groups, groups formed independently with a small set of self-imposed rules between members who share the cost of artworks and rotate them amongst themselves.

Join us at the gallery to hear these three inspirational speakers, at 11am, Saturday, the 1st of December.
