Reading the work of Morris Louis and Daniel Buren, Having fallen asleep thereafter reflects on a digressive, tactile and expansive field of painting. In my own work, the compositional limitations of the stretcher are re-thought through acts of re-modelling, interchange, failure and chance.
Scarlett Cibilich lives in Auckland and graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts (MFA) in 2018.
