Biography

Raukura Turei (b. 1987 Auckland) is a multi-disciplinary artist, architect and performer of Ngaitai ki Tamaki and Nga Rauru ki Tahi iwi. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Masters of Architecture (Prof) in 2011 and registered with the NZRAB in 2015. Recent projects and exhibitions include He Whare Tangata (colab with Elisapeta Heta & Lynda Simmons), Between Silos A+W Exhibition, Auckland (2013); Whare in the Bush (4 woman colab), Warkworth (2014); The Grief Series, Miss Crabb HQ, Auckland (2017); Untitled (pending welcome), Objectspace, Auckland (2017); SELF, Allpress Studio, Auckland (2017).
