'Figure on a Bridge' displays the well-known and loved attributes evident throughout the course of artist Ted Dutch's career. While initially appearing quick and simple, renderings have a compositional complexity and precision in application that make them compelling long after the viewer has taken in the immediately obvious scene. The almost comedic figure, which stands atop and works on a tiny bridge, exhibits very human qualities and is a character who, no matter how fantastical the scene, one can't help but feel is emotionally believable.
