The largest scale works that Ted undertook were his stunning ‘Cityscapes’. Featuring a distinctly cubist approach to the layering of form and defining lines, the actual objects being depicted in any given area of the work are often ambiguous However, the overall impression gained is a perfect rendering of the bulk, scale and activity of the place. With their primary palette and flashpoints of colour, these pieces also clearly show the influence of Piet Mondrian, one of the artists that Ted most respected.
